THE SOUNDTRACK
When it was decided Devil’s Backbone: The Invisible Walls of Seven Mile would be a full audio experience, the author, George Caudill, went to town workshopping musical ideas with sound engineer, Brandon Leith.
The two discussed almost every genre of music imaginable. The wide range of scenes and emotions portrayed in The Invisible Walls of Seven Mile called for cinematic, full-orchestral pieces, country, disco, celtic rock, a choral hymn and much much more.
Throughout the music making process, Brandon learned how the music needed to be used in the full production. Being the one to bring the audio production together, he could apply the music in just the right moments to enhance the experience and leave other parts without music when it may have taken away from or muddled the listening experience.
